Dear EUCROF Affiliates,
As you might know, my University (Università del Piemonte Orientale, Novara, Italy), together with the Universitad Miguel Hernandez (Spain), the Université de Namur (Belgium), the Université de Liege (Belgium), and Humboldt Universität (Germany), are running a European Master financed by the European Union that concentrates on research and development of drugs and cosmetics. While the Master is focused on dermatological products, the skills that we teach them are broad and may be applicable to any drug or cosmetic. The Master is fully taught in English and all the information can be found at the following website: www.emotion-master.eu. Students spend 1-year in Italy and then move to Belgium to study clinical development or to Elche to study cosmetic research and development. Students have a broad background, mainly in the biomedical field.
Each year we finance 15 scholarships for students with a curriculum of excellence. To give an idea, these 15 students are selected from over 220 applicants. Students receive a full scholarship that pays them 1000 euros each month for 24 months. In the last term, students have the possibility to do a placement in industry or in academia for a research project on which they will write their final thesis.
The placement for the first intake will start in February/March 2021 and end in August/September 2021, at which point they will graduate.
We are now writing to enquire if, within your projects and activities, you are available to include a candidate of the first EMOTION cohort circulating this opportunity to your colleagues in Italy as well as across Europe. Proposals will be circulated to students and then it will be up to the industry to select the students and decide whether there is someone who suits their needs and expectations.
We do hope you or your colleagues are interested in the project and would be willing to offer an internship, which has obviously the final aim of nurturing talent in Europe and attracting talents from abroad. - (iii) the person to contact. Students can, and are very eager, to travel across Europe.
