"EUCROF/eClinical Forum’s eConsent Implementation Guide -
TOPRA Awards Finalist 2021"
The EUCROF and eClinical Forum Electronic Informed Consent (eConsent) Joint Task Force are pleased announce that the eConsent Implementation Guide they published earlier this year has been recognized by TOPRA and is a finalist at this year’s TOPRA Awards within the Innovation Category.
The joint eConsent task force co-chaired by Fiona Maini (Medidata) and Mika Lindroos (Signant Health) was formed in 2019 with a view to look at some of the barriers to adoption of eConsent considering the benefits to stakeholders.
This eConsent Implementation guide aims to support industry and addresses the consenting processes, technology, data protection and security and in general the regulatory environment.
The COVID-19 pandemic emphasized the need to convert to more remote strategies and so was a very timely guidance for industry and the various stakeholders
We’d like to thank EUCROF and eClinical Forum contributors for their invaluable support in the development of this document.
We’d also thank TOPRA for this recognition as a finalist. Awards like this celebrate the progress and focus of the industry and it’s great to see all the amazing work being done. The COVID pandemic, and the disruption to clinical trials, demonstrates more than ever that we need to continue to push innovation and efficiency in the clinical trial process.
