1st Panhellenic Conference on Clinical Trial and Research

Dr Martine Dehlinger-Kremer, EUCROF President, was invited by the President, Mrs. Evangelia Koraki, and the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Association of CROs (HACRO) to attend the 1st Panhellenic Conference on Clinical Trial and Research.
The conference, organized by the Association of the Pharmaceutical Products and Specialties Agents (SAFEE), was held on October 16, 2019 in Athens.
The Conference focused on raising discussion about the practices and policies for the development of Clinical Research in Greece and was attended by a number of outstanding scientists, pharmaceutical market leaders and political leadership.
Key topics of clinical research were discussed during the day, with presentations and panel discussions covering:
- Policies for the Development of Clinical Trials in Greece
- The pharmaceutical industry: the driving force for the development of Clinical Trials in Greece
- Utilizing evidence from clinical trials in drug reimbursement process
- Design and implementation of Clinical Trials: new models, international trends and the role of CROs
- Essentials of Paediatric Clinical Research
- Global trends and business opportunities in Clinical Trials
- Clinical Research in Greek Public Hospitals: prerequisites for the successful achievement of the objectives
- The contribution of patients to modern research therapeutics, according to the bioethical dimension
Dr Martine Dehlinger-Kremer presented «Essentials of Paediatric Clinical Research», while Mrs. Evangelia Koraki focused on the new trends in clinical research and the role of CROs.
Dr Martine Dehlinger-Kremer had also the chance to meet with the Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. Vassilios Kontozamanis and discuss the added value that clinical studies may bring to Greek economy.
It was a very interesting and fruitful meeting and a great opportunity to highlight Greece’s prospects in the field of clinical research.
