xShare Project
xShare is a three-year Horizon Europe project with the vision of enabling seamless, one-click sharing of health data in the European Electronic Health Record Exchange Format (EEHRxF)

In 2025, xShare will launch three Open Calls to support the early adoption of European Health Data Space (EHDS) standards. The third Open Call will specifically focus on the secondary use of health data for clinical research and is open to all EUCROF affiliates

xShare and Clinical Research
xShare supports bridging primary use of health data in care with its secondary use in public health and clinical research.
Activities focus on developing the IPS+ standard (International Patient Summary extended for research), proposing a new EHDS health data category, building business cases, and engaging stakeholders through an Open Call led by EUCROF.
Practical implementation of business use cases inspired by the identified BUCs demonstrating the benefits of a wide adoption of the EHDS standards (EEHRxF, IPS+) and their impact on European citizens.
