Webinar Date & Time
20 May 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM (CEST)
Webinar Overview
The webinar will begin with an introduction to EUCROF, including an overview of our activities, experience, and track record in supporting and advancing clinical research across Europe.
This will be followed by a lecture exploring the evolution of clinical research from early human experiments to scientifically rigorous methods such as controlled, randomized, and double-blind trials. The lecture will highlight key ethical and regulatory milestones — including the Nuremberg Code, Declaration of Helsinki, and Belmont Report — which established fundamental protections for human subjects. The modern era of clinical research is defined by global standards such as ICH GCP and emerging innovations including decentralized trials, real-world evidence, and AI-driven research.
Clinical research has come a long way — from rudimentary experiments to highly regulated, technology-driven science shaping the future of medicine. This webinar will take participants through the critical milestones, ethical breakthroughs, and modern innovations that define today’s clinical trials, providing a clear and structured understanding of how high-quality research is conducted.
